Not only have we moved into our brand new offices last week, we also welcomed on board our new Care Co-
ordinator Grace, who will be working on the Community Care side of the business. We first found Grace when attending a local jobs fair, since then Grace has made outstanding progress working for Fairway. As well as picking up a number of qualifications with us, Grace has gone from training as a Healthcare Assistant, to working as a Homecare Assistant, to then be offered a vacancy at our Head Office.
“I originally found out about Fairway from attending a jobs fair at the job centre. I had just left school after finishing my A-Level in Health and Social Care and I wasn’t really sure what route I wanted to go down. Fairway offered me the opportunity to go on their 4 week My Care Portfolio course which leads to a job offer in the Healthcare sector. I really enjoyed the course, it allowed me to kick-start my career in the Healthcare field and see which career route I would like to go down. I originally started on the Healthcare side of the business, but I then switched and changed to the Community Care side. Whilst working for Fairway Homecare, I have completed Team Leading training as well as a NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care. I loved working on the Community Care side and have been doing this for over a year, to then be offered the chance to progress into the position of a Care Co-ordinator. I’m really looking forward to starting a new career journey with Fairway, I have been offered a really amazing opportunity and I am forever grateful to Fairway for believing in me in the first place.”
