Fairway Fairies raising funds to beat Cancer!
Fairway Homecare are a local domiciliary care provider based in Sutton Coldfield offering homecare services in and around the West Midlands. The team at Fairway are fully trained and experienced within their fields of care and provide an exceptional level of support to Clients and their families.
All at Fairway Homecare endeavour to work with the local community whenever they can and this year the team and their family members participated in Race for Life that was held at Cannon Hill Park, Birmingham on Sunday 21st July.
Cancer is something that increasingly touches us all, with many having either a direct experience of it or knowing someone that has suffered from it. Many of our Clients at Fairway suffer from cancer and the team paid tribute to them all on Sunday. Fairway would especially like to mention Lynda Allen and Margaret Allcock whom they cared for during their last months and were privileged to have met them and their families. Gillian Simpson,
Registered Manager said “ We had a marvellous day on Sunday with the team helping to raise funds for Cancer Research UK, it is a cause very close to our hearts at Fairway Homecare and feel honoured to pay tribute to our wonderful Clients that have been affected by it”.
The team of ladies under the banner of ‘Fairway Fairies’ who participated in the event were, Gillian Simpson, Laura Selby, Fiona Trenchard-Davies, Isobelle O’Neill, Elaine Wood, Emily Wood, Sue Patterson and Laura Leeson. The 5km run/walk helped to raise funds to bring forward the day all cancers are cured. Fairway Fairies have to date raised over £1,000 and still collecting monies.
